I’ve just come back from the second session of presentations about different countries. Last time our course works included Belgium, France, UK, Greece and Lithuania. Today we heard about some new routes to Italy, Panama and also Latvia.
Here is a glimpse into my route in Belgium. I’m sure many people have no idea what fantastic places they are missing in this little kingdom by heading only to Brussels and spending hours in pubs & chocolate shops not elsewhere.
First half of this year, to be more precise 
My last trip was to Rotterdam, Netherlands during Christmas and New Year holidays when I visited my sister and brother-in-law together with mum. Now it looks like I know where I will be going during the next 5-6 months. So:
● I received a call today to find out that my colleagues need my services (simultaneous interpreting) on 8th March in Warsaw, Poland. So, International Women Day (Sunday, by the way!) will be spent in the capital of Poland with no celebration and with no flowers probably. Anyway, I love my job and I also like the speaker (J.Tartol) and the topic of that seminar as I’m involved in this business too, so I’m sure the trip will be both interesting and expedent.
● I made a spontaneous decision one day in October last year while searching for something in Google and finding some information about tourist guide courses here in Riga. Having some free time and being interested both in languages and travelling I started attending those lectures just a few days later. Now on 28th March our group of guides-to-be is having a trainee one-day trip in Latvia. Won’t cross any borders but still some movements away from home. Continue reading
